چکیده

Abstract Measuring the blast-induced ground vibration at blasting sites is very important, to plan and avoid adverse effects of in terms peak particle velocity (PPV). However, measurement PPV often requires time, cost, logistic commitment, which may not be economical for small-scale mining operations. This has prompted development numerous regression equations literature estimate from a relatively easier scaled distance (SD) measurement. With available literature, there challenge how select appropriate model specific site, more so that rocks behave differently site because different geological processes are subjected to. study develops method selects models by comparing evidence occurrence probability models. Predicting peak particle velocity by artificial neural networks and multivariate regression analysis - Sarcheshmeh copper mine, Kerman, Iran

Ground vibrations caused by blasting are undesirable results in the mining industry and can cause serious damage to the nearby buildings and facilities; therefore, controlling such vibrations has an important role in reducing the environmental damaging effects. Controlling vibration caused by blasting can be achieved once peak particle velocity (PPV) is predicted. In this paper, the values of P...

ارائه مدل تجربی پیش‌بینی متوسط ابعاد خردشدگی حاصل از انفجار در توده‌سنگ کنگلومرای سد گتوند علیا

The main aim of blasting operations in mining and civil engineering projects is size reduction of the rock-mass. Particle size reduction (P.S.R) affects the efficiency of the loading, haulage and milling equipments. Therefore, prediction of mean fragment size in designing optimum blasting patterns is crucial. In this research, a model is presented for predicting mean fragment size caused by bla...

Monitoring and assessment of pollutants resulting from bench-blasting operations

Nitrogen oxides and carbon monoxide gases together with dust are known as the major pollutants arising during the blasting operations using the ammonium nitrate-fuel oil (ANFO) explosive at the Sungun surface mine, located in the northwest of Iran. The pollutants were monitored during some blasting operations at the mine. It was concluded that the gases and dust clouds initially went up to the ...

Studying Peak Particle Velocity Due to Blast in Development Tunnels’ Face in Coal Stoping

The impact of blast-driven shocks on the safety and stability of the underground coal mines has been well established. The seismic imperfections resulting from blasting depend on the total explosive energy released during blasting and the closeness of the development tunnel face to the stope face. Also, the quality of the rock mass wherein the whole stope face is located might pose considerable...

Predicting waste generation using Bayesian model averaging

A prognosis model has been developed for solid waste generation from households in Hoi An City, a famous tourist city in Viet Nam. Waste sampling, followed by a questionnaire survey, was carried out to gather data. The Bayesian model average method was used to identify factors significantly associated with waste generation. Multivariate linear regression analysis was then applied to evaluate th...
